Classic Lakeland Challenge taking in 6 amazing passes – Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter and finally – only 15 miles to go – Hardknott and Wrynose. Plus some other bits which will certainly feel like hills.
This is a hard ride of 110 miles with over 10,000ft of climbing so be prepared.
I’d recommend doing it in May as part of the Fred Whitton Challenge (ballot opens early January – www.fredwhittonchallenge.co.uk/) – you can’t beat those crowds & kettlebells – however this can be done at any time of the year, and over 2 days if preferred.
